About Warren
My teaching journey spans a wide spectrum, from nurturing the earliest musical sparks in 4-year-olds using Kodály and Orff-based approaches, to guiding adult professional musicians. I've built and conducted large band programs and diverse ensembles and have extensive experience teaching classroom music at both primary and VCE secondary levels, as well as leading practical workshops across various instruments. I'm incredibly proud that my students consistently achieve high scores in VCE Music and AMEB exams, with many pursuing tertiary music studies and even becoming working musicians themselves. I strive to leave a significant, positive mark on every student's musical journey. My own career as a musician reflects this diverse expertise. I've performed with classical orchestras, numerous jazz ensembles, duos, and as a solo artist, recording and collaborating extensively with renowned musicians both here in Australia and overseas. My performance venues range from stadiums and Crown Casino to the Governor's Palace, the Telstra Dome, and Parliament House Victoria, among other prestigious locations. This real-world experience, combined with my skills as an arranger and composer for a range of projects, directly enriches my teaching, ensuring my students benefit from a truly comprehensive and current musical education.
