About Mara
Teaching guitar has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. Over the past nine years, I’ve helped students of all ages and backgrounds find confidence and joy in their musical journey. My approach blends patience with passion, giving students both structure and freedom in equal measure. I focus on making students comfortable with the instrument and with themselves. Music learning can be vulnerable, and I believe that growth happens when students feel supported and seen. That’s why I emphasize consistency, exploration, and mindful practice — helping each learner grow at their own rhythm. Outside of teaching, I compose, perform, and record with other musicians, experiences that keep my instruction authentic and evolving. Every lesson I teach carries that energy — alive, grounded, and connected to real musicianship.

My guitar lessons combine the structure of disciplined practice with the freedom of creative exploration. Each session focuses on refining technique, understanding musical language, and developing the confidence to interpret music personally. I ensure that lessons are both purposeful and enjoyable, encouraging curiosity alongside steady progress.
Beginners learn chords, rhythm patterns, and simple songs that build muscle memory and listening awareness. Intermediate players expand into scales, picking techniques, and improvisation, while advanced students focus on phrasing, tone shaping, and performance expression. Lessons include ear training and light theory to enhance overall musical fluency.
I design lessons to make students feel deeply connected to what they play — not just reproducing notes, but understanding sound as storytelling. Whether preparing for a performance or learning for fun, each student discovers how the guitar becomes an extension of creativity.
