About Lila
My journey with guitar began through a deep appreciation for its expressive range and ability to communicate emotion without words. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance followed by a Master of Music in Guitar Studies. Over the past 7 years, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Teaching guitar allows me to combine education with artistic inspiration.
I enjoy helping students explore different musical styles and discover their unique sound on the instrument. My teaching approach balances discipline and creativity, ensuring learners develop both strong technique and artistic confidence. Through individualized guidance, I support students in reaching their goals at a comfortable and motivating pace. Each lesson is designed to build skill, confidence, and enjoyment.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, composing, and studying various genres of music. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into my lessons and keep learning engaging. Watching students grow into confident musicians who express themselves freely is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I look forward to helping each learner develop their musical identity through guitar.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students grow into confident and expressive musicians through a balance of structure and creativity. I focus on essential techniques such as bending control, vibrato, tone shaping, rhythm accuracy, solo phrasing, chord transitions, improvisation, and expressive dynamics. Students are encouraged to understand not just how to play, but why each technique matters in real music. This approach helps learners connect emotionally with what they play while building solid technical foundations. Every lesson is engaging, supportive, and focused on steady improvement.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and experience level. Beginners work on chord shapes, basic strumming patterns, timing, and simple melodies. Intermediate students develop fretboard understanding, improvisational skills, musical expression, and stylistic awareness. Advanced learners focus on performance preparation, advanced phrasing techniques, tone refinement, and creative solo construction. Students who prefer structured learning receive clear step-by-step progressions, while creative learners are guided toward exploration and musical experimentation. Regular feedback ensures continuous growth and confidence.
Learning guitar should feel inspiring and personal. My lessons help students discover their own musical voice while developing reliable technical ability.
