About Kaitlyn
I hold a B.Mus in Classical Guitar and a Diploma in Contemporary Music, with 7 years of experience teaching students of all levels. My expertise includes fingerstyle technique, chord progression, improvisation, music theory, sight-reading, performance preparation, and ensemble playing. I create lessons that combine technical skill-building with creative exploration, helping students develop both proficiency and expressive artistry. I emphasize individualized instruction, patience, and encouragement. Lessons integrate exercises, repertoire, theory, and performance coaching to build confidence, technical ability, and musical expression. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with music through performance, composition, and exploring different genres. I mentor students for recitals, exams, and ensemble work, supporting both technical and artistic growth. Watching learners develop technical mastery, expressive interpretation, and self-assurance is incredibly rewarding.
