About Tessa
My journey as a guitarist began through a fascination with the expressive power of music and the stories that can be told through sound. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar. Over the past 4 years, I have worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them develop confidence through supportive and engaging instruction. Teaching guitar allows me to share my enthusiasm for music while helping learners achieve meaningful progress.
I enjoy helping students use guitar as a creative outlet and a tool for personal expression. My teaching style emphasizes both technical development and musical understanding, ensuring learners build strong skills while maintaining their enjoyment of music. Through patient guidance and individualized support, I help students discover their strengths and develop confidence in their abilities.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, composing, and exploring a variety of musical styles. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas and practical insights into lessons. Watching students develop their own musical voices is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession. I believe every learner has unique potential, and I look forward to helping students explore and express it through guitar.

My guitar lessons combine creativity, structure, and encouragement to help students become confident musicians. I use storytelling, musical examples, and practical demonstrations to make learning engaging and memorable. Lessons cover bending and vibrato techniques, tone shaping, rhythm development, solo phrasing, chord transitions, improvisation, and stage confidence. Students learn not only how to play notes correctly but also how to communicate feeling and personality through music. This balanced approach helps learners build both technical skill and artistic expression.
Instruction is tailored to each student's goals and experience level. Beginners focus on chord shapes, rhythm accuracy, picking techniques, and foundational musical skills. Intermediate learners strengthen fretboard knowledge, expressive playing, improvisation, and stylistic versatility. Advanced students work on tone control, performance preparation, phrasing refinement, and advanced technical development. Personalized guidance ensures that every learner receives the support and challenge needed for continued growth.
Music learning should inspire confidence and creativity. My lessons encourage students to explore their musical interests while developing reliable technical foundations. As learners progress, they become more comfortable performing, creating, and expressing themselves through guitar. My goal is to help students enjoy every stage of their musical development while building skills that last a lifetime.
