About João
Hello! I hold a bachelor's degree in music from the State University of Campinas (Brazil), where I studied with the guitarist Ulisses Rocha. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in music, also at UNICAMP, focusing on the research line of "Music, Culture, and Society".
I have participated in guitar masterclasses with many great musicians, such as: Paulo Martelli, Douglas Lora, Turíbio Santos, and Nelson Faria, as well as workshops with Alessandro Penezzi, Nailor Proveta, Swami Jr., among others. I have been teaching music for over 6 years and hav experience with live performances, studio recordings, and also work producing soundtracks.
As a musician, my main areas of expertise lie in jazz, choro, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), bossa nova, and samba.

Customized lessons tailored to the student's musical preferences and skill level, catering to both beginners who have never played an instrument and those who already play and would like to enhance their skills, including preparation for music college entrance exams.
In the lessons, I aim to provide a comprehensive musical education, covering technique, theory, repertoire, improvisation, ear training, rhythms, and reading chord charts and/or sheet music, all based on the student's needs. I also offer availability to address questions and provide support regarding the content covered in the lessons throughout the week.

Tive aula com o João em 2 momentos. Se tenho noção hoje de violão é devido a didática dele.
Ele vai além de te ensinar apenas a tocar determinada música. Ele é um músico profissional e ensina prática e teoria de música, fazendo com que você consiga tocar qualquer música em qualquer situação.
Muito didático. Eu sempre gostei de fazer aula com ele. É um privilégio falar que fui seu aluno porque sei que ele ainda vai brilhar muito como musicistaJoão é um excelente músico e um excelente professor.
