About Tommy
I am a graduating first-class LSE History and Politics student with strong enthusiasm for my subjects. Having worked as a peer mentor at my university and been involved in various writing centres, I aim to help students enhance their skills and relate meaningfully to their studies. Coming from a working-class background, I understand the struggles many different students face, and it is my commitment as a tutor to help everyone I work with fulfil their potential.

I take a highly student-focused approach to tutoring, prioritising each pupil’s bespoke academic goals. I encourage students to tailor sessions towards the areas they most want to improve. With experience in peer mentoring at LSE and engagement with various writing centres, I am skilled at breaking complex problems down into manageable steps. I offer one-hour sessions for GCSE and A-Level students, covering both specific and general needs — from understanding difficult concepts to translating them into clear, well-structured essays.
