About Emily
I am a qualified Primary School teacher and I have experience of teaching children with a range of needs, abilities and interests. I have always had a particular interest in Humanities subjects and hold a BA (Hons) Philosophy degree from University of York. My lessons will be engaging for pupils of different ages and abilities, and I shall support all pupils to make the maximum progress regardless of their starting point.

I qualified as a Primary School Teacher in July 2021 and since then, have worked in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have taught children with a wide range of academic abilities. I have taught mainstream pupils, and I also have experience in teaching SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) pupils and SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health) pupils. I have found it incredibly rewarding to see the progress all of these children have made in school. I believe it is important to ensure that every child is supported to maximise their academic progress, regardless of their starting point. I am sensitive to the needs of learners, and I understand that different children require different teaching and learning strategies. Therefore, my lessons will be designed on an individual basis to provide the appropriate guidance for each child.
