About Guglielmo
I graduated with honors in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and went on to earn a Master's degree in Embedded Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.
Throughout my studies, I've always been curious about how computer systems work at every level, from hardware to software. For my Master's thesis at Snap Inc., I worked on optimizing the execution of neural networks on an AI accelerator for augmented reality applications, focusing on optimization algorithms and performance analysis.
Alongside my studies, I designed and implemented a small RISC-V processor in SystemVerilog, exploring CPU architecture and the interaction between hardware and low-level software. During my Bachelor's degree, I was also part of a university robotics team, where I contributed to the software development of a modular search-and-rescue robot and coordinated the software team.
These experiences reflect how I approach computer science: I like looking beyond abstractions to understand what's happening under the hood and how different components work together. That's the same mindset I bring to my lessons, helping students build a solid understanding of the subject rather than simply memorizing syntax or solutions, and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.

My goal is to help you truly understand computer science, rather than simply memorize programming syntax or solutions to exercises. I enjoy looking beyond abstractions to understand what happens under the hood, and that's the mindset I bring to my lessons.
Lessons are tailored to your needs and goals. We can start with the basics of programming, work through school or university assignments, prepare for exams, or explore specific topics in greater depth. I combine theoretical explanations with practical examples and hands-on exercises, helping you build a solid understanding of the subject and develop the problem-solving skills to tackle challenges independently.
I teach both high school and university students. We can cover C, C++, Python, Java, and a range of computer science topics, adapting each lesson to your current level and what you want to achieve.
