About Amy
As a student myself, I understand how confusing it is when you’re given a new topic and being unable to approach it. I learned Spanish when I was 5 and my native language was English. I went to Spanish schools all my life, switching between English and Spanish at home. The students I taught are all Hispanic like me, nervous because they either know too little or don’t want to draw attention to themselves. It’s ok to not know something or being nervous, it’s how you deal with the nerves and approach the problem that matters. Patience and listening is what I value the most. And it’s completely okay to be a beginner at something, we’re all here to learn after all.

My approach is one on one, listening to what difficulties you have and finding a solution. My last semester I was in ESL 4, explaining how to write creative writing essays, finding the topic and how to properly explain the point of view. My approach is finding what your difficulties are, where your weakness is by starting with a small mock test and working our way to learning the subject. From ages 5 to 14 are my areas of expertise. English and Spanish writing, reading, spelling.
