I like to make learning fun for students and also help them understand the "why"- not just pure memorization. For me, a typical tutoring session may begin by evaluating homework assignments, working to understand where the student's fundamental struggles lie, working practice problems together, and then encouraging the student to pursue practice problems independently. I am an encourager and motivator!
