Study can excite and open a window on reality if it is approached in an exciting way: this responsibility lies largely with the teacher. I therefore tried to develop a method that, although different from boy to boy, retains some common points: - Understanding the characteristics of the student: character, interests, skills, doubts, gaps etc. - Tackle the topics gradually, starting from the general context in which they are inserted and going into more and more detail. Leverage the key concepts that need to be recalled more often. - To resort, especially in the humanities, to conceptual links, etymological paths, concrete and amusing examples that favor and consolidate an adequate mastery of the subject. - Guide the student in his thoughts without expressing them for him, in order to prepare him for complete autonomy in the future. - Verify that what has been addressed is understood and summarized, keeping the student active and involved for the entire duration of the lesson. - Choose a simple, clear and precise language to be transmitted to the student. - Use visual aids: schemes, diagrams, geographic maps, images etc. While respecting the discretion and professionalism of my role, I try when possible to avoid that severe formality that embarrasses and often bores the student. I prefer to create a human contact, without which information, in my opinion, is transmitted more slowly and with difficulty.
