About Austin
I recently graduated from Wake Forest University with my Ph.D. In Cancer biology. I studied a novel tumor suppressor in Glioblastoma in an effort to determine its tumor suppressive mechanisms of action. I have multiple published primary research articles and review articles covering my work. I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Magee Women’s Research Institute in Pittsburgh PA.

I have both a passion for science and a passion for teaching! I have multiple years of all types of biology tutoring throughout my time in college. I have also mentored multiple masters and Ph.D. Students throughout my time in graduate school. I have recently graduated with my Ph.D. In cancer biology and have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, and oncology. My teaching style is very flexible and changes to fit each student. I like to use visual aids to promote student learning as well as discussion to evaluate comprehension of the material and to determine how well I am teaching! I am happy to help anyone who needs guidance in all types of biology!
