About Yasna

Since I was young, I’ve always loved teacher. My first private teaching experience was as a piano teacher. I then began mentoring my peers in math and algebra. At the University of Maryland, I took a “Terrapin Teachers” course where I learned how to plan lessons for different subjects and then taught a middle school science class. I expanded on this as a peer mentor for Maryland Mentor Corps where mentored non-native English speakers in their English skills and second graders in reading.

About the lesson

I will work with you to find a teaching method that makes sense for your style of learning. I have mentored in many different subjects including mathematics, chemistry and English and for a variety of ages - from second graders to adults! Everyone has a different style of learning and together, I am sure you can succeed!
