About Taylor
Hello! My name is Taylor, I'm 26, and I currently work as an in-house publicist for an interior designer. My role involves managing communications, building meaningful connections, and delivering creative solutions—skills I bring into my tutoring practice.
Now based in Sydney, I was born and raised in Hong Kong and lived in Melbourne for five years before settling here. My global perspective and experiences living in diverse cultural settings help me connect with students from all backgrounds. Previously semi-fluent in Mandarin, I've since become rusty, and dream of moving to Beijing or Shanghai for a stint to improve my language skills. I love Sydney for its stunning beaches and vibrant food scene, but I’ll always have a soft spot for my previous homes.
I’m an avid reader, writer, and Art History enthusiast with a lifelong love of learning. I’m currently completing a Master’s in Journalism and Communications at UNSW, which keeps me engaged and inspired in my academic journey. This passion for education fuels my commitment to helping students succeed in their own studies.
Beyond academics, I’m very social and love hosting dinners or planning activities that bring people together. I take pride in creating a welcoming, engaging environment where students feel comfortable to grow both academically and personally.

I’m a hands-on, encouraging tutor dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. Having received private tutoring throughout high school and university, I experienced firsthand how personalized guidance can not only improve grades but also boost self-confidence.
I draw on this experience in my teaching, tailoring each lesson to the specific needs of my students. Whether the focus is on improving overall coursework, preparing for exams, or building confidence in a particular subject, I prioritize both academic success and personal growth. My approach helps students not only excel in their studies but also develop the confidence to tackle challenges with resilience.
I offer lessons ranging from 45 to 90 minutes and have experience tutoring IB students. My services are designed for high school students aged 13 to 18.
