About María Xia
I am currently a music student, and I have the title of Professional Music Education in the specialty of violin. In addition, I am a regular member of three young orchestras, such as the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana or the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de les Federacions. I have also participated in numerous musical courses and colonies. Thanks to all these experiences I have met many people that today I call friends, I have met great musicians (international directors and soloists, incredible teachers...) who have contributed so much to my vision of music, I have played so many different pieces... In short, music is much more than a piece of paper with notes, and this is something that I would like to convey to my students, and also the value of discipline and perseverance, because "practice makes *improvement*".

The methodology I follow is completely personalized and flexible, so I adapt completely to the specific needs, requirements and goals of the student in question. I consider that a good technique is the basis of any great musician, so I like to work on this part of the instrument, but never neglecting the works and pieces, generally more pleasant to the ear and more entertaining for children. Besides, I have the C2 (Proficiency) of English from Cambridge and C2 of Valencian from JQCV, so teaching in any of the three languages (Spanish, Valencian or English) would be no problem whatsoever. I offer classes for beginner and intermediate levels regardless of age; and could also prepare entrance exams to the professional conservatory.
