Current biology, chemistry and physics GCSE and A-level exams are unique with a highly selective marking system that selects for key phrases and often rewards understanding of the mark schemes as opposed to an understanding of the subject. My goal is not only to distill a strong level of understanding using my broad experience of the subject from degree level, but also to train students in how to turn this unusual and frustrating marking method to their own advantage.
