About Gabriella
My name is Gabriella, and I graduated in the summer of 2023 from the University of Exeter with a 1st-class degree in History and Politics. For my A-Levels, I studied History, Government and Politics and Philosophy.
I am passionate about what I have studied and am currently in the process of applying to study for my Master's degree this September.
I love helping younger students who are perhaps struggling with exam technique, need some advice for revision, or simply want someone (who has been through it all relatively recently!) to sit with them and talk through their curriculum and lessons from the week.
I am friendly, positive, and always smiling! My approach to tutoring is to be optimistic and calm to help you feel more confident and happy with your studies.
I live in West Sussex and work in Wimbledon, so, I can be flexible with location.

I believe that tutoring should be done with a positive, calm and supportive attitude, and I endeavour for my students to leave sessions feeling more confident in their work and progress!
Typically, I will go through recent class work with them, looking at their teachers' feedback and working on how to improve. We would work on past papers and exam techniques, and I'd help to explain and work through anything they might be finding challenging in school. I am not here to teach the students anything new but to help solidify content that they are working on in school, improve exam technique and aid with revision.
My experience in tutoring has been with students aged 10-15, but, with my academic background, I can tutor GCSE and A Level too.
Typically, I would run lessons 45-60 minutes long, but this can vary and be adapted to suit the needs of the student. I try to tailor tutoring around what the student requires, as opposed to taking a 'one size fits all' approach.
