About Tonya
Since I was sixteen years old, I have been connected to the nursing profession. Starting out as CNA and working up to being an FNP. I worked as an LPN-RN for 28 years and a NP for 24 years. I have taught adult learners through work and community activities for the last 14 years and have been a nursing instructor for almost 2 years now. Since starting my nursing instructor career, I have received good evaluations and recognized by students and staff for my dedication to learning.

Utilizing a student centered approach, I use PowerPoint presentations, review quiz, case scenarios, and discussion. My goal is to listen, observe, gather information to best educate the student and bring them hopefully where they need to be. I teach fundamentals, pharmacology, OB, medical surgical, and care planning. Experience with medical terminology.
