I very much enjoy watching a child’s eyes light up when grasping a new concept including learning to read at an ever higher level. I love being a part of that student’s accomplishments. I feel that education is critical to future success and an overall better society.

I work daily during the school year helping elementary level students who have reading difficulties. When my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, I trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to help her read. I utilize my training regularly when helping students. Finally, my work as a proofer has strengthened my understanding and use of the English language significantly.
