About Becky
I am currently a M.Sc. student in the Department of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, studying antimicrobial resistance in dairy cow manure. My undergraduate degree was also completed at the University of Guelph where I majored in Microbiology and minored in Biotechnology. I have taught swimming lessons, sports classes, science programs, art programs and day camps for 5 years at the YMCA for ages ranging from 6 month old babies to adults.

My teaching methods are interactive and discussion based. I think it is important for the student to have time on their own to solve a problem or understand a concept first, then be able to explain their understanding to me, in a discussion setting. I am there for support and clarification but I believe it is important for the student to strengthen their critical thinking skills.
