About Emilia
Hi! I’m Ms. Park, and I teach English to both English learners and native speakers. I’ve worked with students of all ages—from toddlers to college students—both online and in person. In my class, I like to have real-life conversations so you can use English in a natural way, and we practice different skills like reading, speaking, and writing (including essays and creative writing). I’ve lived in several places around the world—South Korea, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and the United States—which helps me understand and connect with students from different backgrounds. Respect is very important to me, so I always treat my students with care and expect the same in return. When we respect each other, learning becomes more fun and meaningful! :)

My approach as a tutor is centered on building strong relationships with students through a conversational and supportive style, so they feel comfortable and confident to learn. I focus on culturally responsive teaching, making sure that each student’s background and experiences are respected and included in the learning process. I have experience teaching English to a wide range of learners, from toddlers to college-level students, which helps me adapt my teaching to different ages and needs. I use a structured routine, such as starting with a daily intro activity, to create consistency, while also keeping lessons flexible and varied to stay engaging. I provide lessons for English learners across all grade levels, as well as extra support in English Language Arts for any student who needs it.
