I love to teach using a cultural backdrop, so that the language and culture are simultaneously absorbed- that includes reading, music, movies, etc. A typical lesson with me would start with review of previous knowledge, discussing current cultural events in Francophone countries (in as much French as possible), and playing a song, or a clip from a film/tv show. After that, we would dive into the lesson using a workbook to guide the course. Finally, we will complete the lesson by completing a short recap and knowledge check. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am very amenable to the needs of my students, whether that be a slower pace or more comprehensive tutoring. My top priority is understanding what my students need and how they learn because everyone is different when it comes to language learning. My lessons are for beginners to advanced French speakers. I tutor college students as well.
