About Gauri
During my childhood, learning piano wasn’t easy, as finding a good piano teacher always proved to be a struggle. However, years later, I had the privilege of studying under top pianists and achieving a BMus (Music) at A.R. Rahman's KM Music Conservatory and the University of Huddersfield, UK. Now as a piano teacher, it's my life’s mission to support other people in their musical journey and make sure that they receive a solid music education. I want to be the teacher I needed when I was a kid. This is why my teaching approach is full of fun, kindness, and passion. Rest assured, I give 200% effort to each one of my classes and make sure that my students learn as well as have fun. ..... Hi, I am Gauri, a professionally trained musician, who loves composing and teaching music. I enjoy different genres of music, anything from classical music to indie music. I also love meeting new people every day, people from different parts of the world: the UK, US, Asia—people whom I would never have met had I not been in this business! It's a lot of fun to talk to them about the thing I love the most (music) and watch them evolve into better musicians over time! I am a patient and friendly person. But most importantly, I am a passionate teacher. I have spent my whole life learning music and now it's my goal to guide other people in their musical journey. Without any exception, I give 200% effort to every one of my classes and make sure that my students are learning as well as having fun!

The internet is full of many talented piano teachers, who are doing amazing work with their students. However, I feel that there are some musical topics that remain untalked about because of how challenging it might be to talk about them, topics such as ear training, improvisation, and music theory. Through this class, I help students in developing these essential skills of ear training, improvisation, and music theory. I also help them discover their own unique voice through composition. Yes, we'll learn how to play your favorite songs/pieces on the piano. We'll prepare for Trinity grades, if you like. But this class is especially for you, if you'd like to get truly educated in music. These are the topics that I typically cover in my lessons- 1)Play songs that you love 2)Build skills such as improvisation and ear training (that will last you a lifetime) 3)Understand the theory behind music 4)Appear for Trinity/ABRSM exams I have a unique approach to teaching piano through Music Theory. This not only results in a good practical understanding but also helps the student understand the ins and outs of how music works. So, whether you'd like to learn to play your favorite songs or compose your own songs, this is the right class for you! *Please only apply if you're serious about learning piano*

Gauri is super helpful and patient. She has an organised way of teaching and has helped me in reaching my piano goals in a span of 1 and a half years ie. being able to play Chopin Nocturne Op.55 No.1
I have been learning piano with Gauri for the last six months. She is a patient tutor and makes sure to give a fun and fulfilling experience every time,(new techniques and concepts are covered regularly). I am looking forward to my lesson with her on Sunday!
