About Judy
Judy Palmer lives in Greensboro, NC. She has authored Hope in Hard Times, a memoir of her crippling journey with Psoriatic Arthritis.
Palmer attended the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned double majors in Journalism and Medical Anthropology. During school at Penn State, she edited The Clinton Times, in State College, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she worked as a reporter for the Daily Journal in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She homeschooled their son. After their homeschooled son graduated from high school, she retired from teaching, or so she thought. Until this person needed help, and then that person. Well, you know how it goes. Years have passed, and she continues teaching...because she loves it.

In an English class, I have taught students from 5-55 years of age, and zero in on each student's specific needs. Many needed to learn the alphabet sounds; some needed work on comprehension; some needed help with term papers and/or college entrance prep classes.
For most of my classes, we do a lot of review, then introduce new material, and then use this new material in written form. I believe in multi-disciplinary approaches, but we also take time to have fun while learning. See you in class!
