About William
I am a graduate of Kent State University where I got my degree in Instrumental Music Education. I played in Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band. I learned how to improvise and know how to teach it. In my time I also had the opportunity to play as a pit musician for the Hunchback of Notre Dame and played with the Brass Band of the Western Reserve. I have experience playing a C Trumpet, Eb Trumpet, and Piccolo Trumpet.

My job as a music tutor is to teach and show you how to practice and better yourself while challenging and pushing you out of your comfort zone. We would work on fundamentals that are important to develop to be a great brass player. A lesson might look something like this:
1. Start with breathing/buzzing exercises, especially in the first few lessons.
2. Work on lip slur exercises.
3. Work on technique/articulation exercises.
4. If you are in band in school- work on things that you are working on in the ensemble.
5. Work on a given etude or solo.
