About Ryan
Hello future students! My name is Ryan, I am 24 years old, and I have been in your position before, the pressure of academics and exams creeping up on you. Don't worry though I understand!
I am very passionate about teaching others and being able to make an impact to help achieve YOUR goals! I want to not only give you the knowledge to thrive but to inspire your confidence to push you beyond where you thought you could go.
I understand how tough it is to be a student with all the expectations on your shoulders. I want to be able to help reassure you that you CAN do it.
I am very professional, but at the same time not boring. I am fun and easy to talk to (even if it is not directly about the work). I enjoy discussing you, so I can get to know you better and engage with you more.
A bit more about me:
- I enjoy football, I have played for Nothampton Town FC and played against the likes of Arsenal and Charlton. Also, I support West Ham but please don't let that put you off.
- I am one off Black Belt in karate and have attended several tournaments where I have not placed outside the top 3 for any event I have attended (so don't mess with me)!
- I also love gaming (particularly FIFA and Call of Duty) as well as watching the latest series on Netflix or scrolling through TikTok.

My teaching approach is to be understanding of whatever the students requirements are. I understand that not everybody learns in the same way and what may work for some people will not work for others. So, I look for how the student learns best and adapt my teaching style to suit them in order to achieve the best results possible. I also try to make my teaching as engaging as possible so that the student can get the most out of learning to help them develop.
My typical length of a lesson would be around 30 Minutes to 1 Hour depending on what the student is looking for and how much tutoring is required. I will not make the student work flat out if there is an hour session as from my experience this is not best from engagement and therefore not as beneficial as it can be.
I am a recent Law graduate, having achieved a 1st at degree level I would say that I am studious myself. I also took 4 A Levels (3 A Levels and a BTEC Extended Diploma) unlike many other students that take just three subjects. I understand how hard it is as a student to reach your goals and balance all the other external expectations. I have experience teaching others having been a Sports Leader for 2 Years going into primary schools and teaching. Also, I won the Sports Leader of the year award for my organisation, time management, inter-school event organisation, people management and hard work as the eader of over 60 Sports Leaders.
My lessons would be predominantly for GCSE and A Level students in the subjects listed. However, I am also open to tutoring primary school levels too and please enquire me about other subjects as I may be able to teach them too (particularly Sports Science and Criminal Law).
