About Jonathan
I am aware of the many demands placed upon teachers and their time and I believe that the project management, communication, and problem-solving skills gained through my studies and teaching experience have been invaluable assets within the classroom and beyond. My work experience allowed me to experience life in a primary and secondary school setting from a teacher's perspective. I have enjoyed the way that every day is different and that each child is unique, I have been able to provide extra support for individual students who are underachieving in physics and mathematics and encourage them to learn.
As a physics teacher, I have managed to inspire and motivate young people to learn about the scientific principles and concepts used to understand how the universe works and also able to teach students about the study of matter, and how it moves through space and time as well as energy and forces. Again, I have helped my pupils develop skills in the accurate use of scientific language, formulae, and equations and how to use practical techniques for scientific inquiry and investigation and I am also highly passionate to teach my students the capacity to be scientifically literate citizens and prepare the foundations for some pupils to go on to a career in science and technology.

My ability to take responsibility for running activities in the classroom, balancing the needs of each child, and managing behavior issues is unique. I look forward to working with more vulnerable students such as SEN learners, particularly with those who can be disruptive when under-stimulated. I have come to realize how important it is to differentiate lesson plans to educate and engage students with special needs and the power of strategies such as a well-thought-out seating plan and friendly competitiveness in learners.
