About Boran
Hi, my name is Boran. Currently I am a third year PhD student & tutor in University of Melbourne. "Bo" means "doctor degree" in Chinese, and "ran" means "nature & naturally". Therefore, it seems to be natural for me to pursue the doctor degree (just kidding).
If Boran is hard to remember, just think about the word "baron". You can switch the letters "o" and "a", and then you can get my name.
You see, though compared to English, Mandarin is a totally different language with different grammars and pronunciation rules, we can still find an easier and interesting way to learn it.

Hi, My name is Boran. Currently I am a tutor in the University of Melbourne with 2-year tutorial experience, so I am skilled at adjusting the relationship between the tutor and students, developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners, and explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise way.
I am also a LesMills instructor for group fitness classes, so I know the importance of patience and how to liven up the atmosphere.
Typical length of a lesson should be around 30min at the beginning, considering the difficulty of getting familiar with a totally different language . Once we make some progress on the grammar part together and lay a solid foundation for advanced learning, the length of the lesson can be extended to around 45min, so that we can accumulate vocabulary and get familiar with different context.
