My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching:
I take a student-centered approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the unique learning style, needs, and goals of the student. I use interactive techniques such as guided questions, real-world examples, and visual aids to make learning engaging and practical.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I begin by assessing the student’s current knowledge and identifying areas that need improvement. Lessons typically start with a review of prior material, followed by introducing new concepts in manageable steps. I encourage active participation through discussions, practice problems, and constructive feedback. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Typical Lesson Length:
A standard lesson lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and the complexity of the subject. I ensure each session ends with a brief summary and actionable tasks for further practice.
Qualifications/Experience:
I am currently pursuing an engineering degree at the University of Queensland, where I have developed strong analytical and mathematical skills. I have assisted peers in group study sessions as well as mentored younger students in high school. My background equips me to teach STEM subjects effectively.
Target Audience: My lessons are designed for high school and early university students, particularly those studying math, physics, or other STEM subjects. I am also happy to work with younger students who need foundational support or exam preparation.
