About Samuel
My name is Samuel Wright and I am a 2019 graduate of the University of Maryland with an Early Childhood Education degree. I have 4+ years of teaching experience in 1st grade classrooms, and I have also tutored students from grades K-3. My passion is helping students to grow as both young people and learners, and I enjoy getting to know students and aiding them in their educational journey.

My approach to teaching is centered around meeting the student where they are by providing opportunities to grow areas of strength and develop areas of need. Lessons include explicit modeling of skills and concepts and consistent progress monitoring to track student growth and areas of need. I have worked for 4 years in a 1st grade classroom with students that have a variety of needs. I have also tutoring students between grades K-3.
