About Katie
I am a current A-Level Law teacher with a genuine passion for helping students understand Law and become more confident in their abilities. I enjoy making complex legal topics feel much more manageable and showing students that Law does not have to feel overwhelming.
I decided to offer private tutoring because I know that, in a classroom, it is not always possible for every student to get the individual attention they need. Some students may understand the content but struggle with exam technique, while others might need more time to work through particular topics or build their confidence.
Private tutoring gives me the opportunity to focus completely on the individual student. I can identify exactly where they are struggling, adapt the way I explain things and work at a pace that suits them.
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is seeing the moment when something finally clicks for a student. I want my tutoring sessions to be a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills without feeling judged.
Ultimately, I want to help students achieve the best grade they are capable of, while also helping them become more confident, independent learners who genuinely understand the subject rather than simply memorising information for an exam.

My approach to private tutoring is friendly, supportive and completely tailored to the individual student. I know that every learner has different strengths, areas for improvement and ways of learning, so I adapt each session to what will help you make the most progress.
As a current A-Level Law teacher, I understand both the content students need to know and the exam technique needed to turn that knowledge into marks. My sessions are therefore not simply about going through notes. We will work on understanding difficult legal principles, remembering key cases, applying the law accurately to scenarios and developing strong essay and evaluation skills.
I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and saying when they do not understand something. I will explain concepts in different ways until they make sense, while still challenging you to become more confident and independent.
Sessions can be adapted around your needs, whether you want regular weekly support, help catching up on a difficult topic, exam preparation, essay feedback or targeted support with a particular area of Law.
My goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling clearer, more confident and knowing exactly what you need to do next to improve.
