About Kalpana
Hello, my name is Kalpana. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals. As a psychology tutor, I have extensive knowledge of various psychological concepts and theories, and I am committed to sharing this knowledge with my students. I tend to focus on the statistics and methods topic as students tend to find this topic very tricky.
My approach to teaching is student-centered, meaning that I tailor my lessons to each individual student's needs and learning style. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in their studies with the right guidance and support, and I am dedicated to providing my students with the resources and tools they need to succeed. As a psychology graduate, I have access to vast amounts of information and resources that I can use to help my students understand complex psychological concepts and theories. Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My approach to tutoring psychology is student-centered, meaning that I tailor my lessons to each individual student's needs and learning style. I take a collaborative approach to teaching, working together with my students to identify areas of strength and weakness, set goals, and develop effective study strategies.
I also believe in making learning fun and engaging, using a variety of techniques such as interactive discussions, visual aids, and hands-on activities to help students fully understand complex psychological concepts and theories.
A lot of the focus will be research and writing as this is the main part of psychology at both A-level and university levels. We will be working on polishing the paraphrasing skills as well as thinking skills.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
The typical length of a lesson depends on the student's needs and preferences. I offer both 60-minute and 90-minute sessions and am happy to work with students to determine the best length of time for their individual needs.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
I have a degree in Psychology from a reputable university and have extensive experience as a psychology tutor. In addition to my academic qualifications, I am passionate about psychology and am always staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field.
I have a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic goals and have received positive feedback from students and parents alike.
