About Darshani
I've been tutoring Maths for the past 4 months using both face-to-face teaching and also online platforms. I work with students aged from 6 to 16 and therefore have experience in tutoring Maths at varying difficulties and up to GCSE level. This means that I am able to adapt my methods of tutoring based on the individual needs of my students. Online, I work with up to 4 students at any given time, and when face-to-face, work with up to 10 students at any given time. Having many students ensures that students are encouraged to work independently and I always implement Socratic questioning when working with a student to ensure they are actively learning. Therefore, I'm an excellent multi-tasker who can cater to the individual needs of a student without ever compromising their learning. Many of my students who recently did their 11+ exams have gotten into their desired schools and have communicated that this achievement couldn't have happened if it wasn't for the excellent tutoring they received from both myself and my colleagues.

When starting with a new student, I will first ask them to complete a relevant test to gain a better understanding of their abilities and knowledge. Once I have identified their strengths and weaknesses, I will plan my lessons according to their individual needs. They will be given worksheets to work through containing questions with varying difficulties and will also explore multiple topics when appropriate. I can provide alternative methods and ways of approaching questions if a student is struggling to understand the methods taught by their teachers. Maths can be approached in a million different ways and I have the necessary skills to teach using various techniques and methods. I am personally a visual learner and so many of my methods would include drawing when appropriate, but I am also able to adapt my methods according to my students' needs and so am flexible in my teaching.
