About Marlena
Marlena has studied the French Horn for 10 years, and is entering her Masters degree in French Horn Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. She has dedicated her life to the French Horn, and is currently working on auditions for professional orchestras, such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New World Symphony.
Marlena has a background in music theory, and aural skills. She has performed many symphonies, such as Brahms Symphony No. 2, and Prokofiev Symphony No. 5. She enjoys playing in her woodwind quintet, and has performed for the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society.

Marlena DeStefano is a student of the Metropolitan Opera’s 3rd horn player, and has earned her undergraduate degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Before moving to NYC to pursue her degree, Marlena earned her high school Artist’s diploma from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has performed alongside the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida, where she was born and raised.
Marlena has a passion for music, and has studied music theory for four years at the Manhattan School of Music, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the fundamentals of music. She enjoys working with students of all ages, and is passionate about sharing her expertise with those who are willing to learn.
