About Sophie
I am a recent Graduate in criminology and psychology and have developed a passion for these subjects. I am going on to further study, doing a master's in criminology at Liverpool. I aim to do a PhD researching these subject areas and teaching in higher education. Therefore, tutoring is something I am very passionate about which I have learned through mentoring at uni. Therefore I hope to bring this enthusiasm to others studying. I have grown through my educational journey by understanding the way I work is different to the way I have been taught, therefore, understand how tough learning can be especially in a one-dimensional education system. Furthermore, this has inspired me to want to teach and help students reach their full potential.

Classes will be guided by the needs of the student the understanding that everyone learns differently is integral to my approach. With a clear idea of what they are wanting I will provide lessons and resources to improve their knowledge in a way that suits them. Including work on academic writing with a focus on critical writing skills which are crucial to excelling in these disciplines.
I have been a student mentor in the final year of my degree with Studiosity therefore, have gained an understanding of different ways to help students with the help, not answers approach. I also have experience teaching high school students about hate crime.
