About Lily
Originally from Michigan in the US, I became fascinated with Japan during elementary school. After a few stints of trying to self-study Japanese over the years, I wanted to take the language more seriously in preparation for an upcoming trip and decided to take lessons. After I returned from my life changing trip, I decided to major in Japanese during uni and live in Japan post graduation. I realized this dream in 2019 when I moved to Tokyo. I lived and worked in Japan for five years until 2024.

As someone who started learning Japanese in my late teens I understand what components of the language are particularly difficult and various methods to make it easier to learn. I believe in using different resources to make learning fun and memorable so you can actually use the skills you learn.
Lessons are 1-hour. Happy to do a 30 minute free lesson as I am new to the site.
I have a bachelor's degree in Japanese and have tutored beginner to intermediate students during university. Lived in Tokyo for 5 years 2019 - 2024.
No restriction on age, only for beginners and intermediates.
