About Brandon
My name is Brandon Self, I'm from Brawley, California where I'm an educator teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities. When I first graduated from my undergraduate degree from Mayville State University in North Dakota, I moved back to California and started working as an instructional aide in special education for 5 years working with many students with disabilities such as autism, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and multiple learning disabilities. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in 2023 to become a special education teacher in the same year.

I have been really familiar and experienced in the Response-to-Intervention (RTI) approach where I have taught students in many different levels. Small group instruction is the best method to help educate students who need the extra assistance for any of their academics. There are three tiers when it comes to RTI; tier 1 is instruction provided to a whole classroom, tier 2 is provided to students in a small group, and tier 3 is a more intense approach to students who need one-on-one instruction.
