About Darcy
I graduated from Duke University, where I studied Public Policy and Economics. I worked as a teaching assistant for Duke's Department of Economics for their Econometrics course sequence and provided help and support for students on preparing for exams and completing assignments. I also worked as a Lead Instructor at the Greenwich Mathnasium where I provided instruction to elementary-level to high school students. I have experience using remote learning platforms, developing customizable learning plans, assessing students' progress, lesson planning, and making sure my lessons are connected to real-world applications that allow students to connect with the content.

I believe in meeting students where they are at and providing a warm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment that focuses on progress and mastery of concepts. Each student is unique and I take the time to get to know my students and understand their unique perspective and learning needs as well as what potential blocks they might be encountering. A typical lesson plan will focus on one concept and set of skills and include an introduction, some warm-up problems, working together, and doing supervised independent practice. The lessons are geared towards middle and high school math students as well as college level Economics students.
