About Daphne
I graduated Davidson College magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in French. I received honors in biology and I also received the departmental award from the biology department for excellence in biology. I completed my honors thesis in microbiology where I studied antibiotic-resistant E. coli and bacteriophages. I am currently a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health at the National Human Genome Research Institute where I am conducting clinical research and aiding in manuscript publications. My goal is to achieve a PhD in Human Genetics.

I typically structure my lessons to focus on true understanding, rather than memorization. A lesson plan would consist of introducing a concept, going through it in detail, then seeing if you can implement or teach me the concept. I have a deep love for biology and I believe that if someone doesn't love biology, they just don't understand it well enough - so I want to equip everybody with the ability to love biology the same way I do. I can tutor high school and college students, but am willing to tutor middle school as well.
