About Marcardo
Curriculums should have a balanced core of learning. It should have a base for challenging programs at all levels. Also, curriculum should be interdisciplinary so students can have a platform promoting their learning from one subject to the next. All curricula should have a belief system by which a foundation can be built. Some of my beliefs include: relationships with students matter, students should have a voice, challenging curriculum promotes critical thinking skills, and all students are able to learn.

I am able to adapt to the student:
- I use hip-hop, R&B, and sports to allow students to visualize the topic and relate. For example, teaching how to write a persuasive essay to teenagers, I use sports. First, I allow students to pick their favorite basketball player (i.e., LeBron James). Next, I ask the student(s) why isn't player y (i.e., Kevin Durant) not their choice? instead of verbally illustrating the answer, I walk them through a literary format. Key
- What makes LeBron a better player? (Better free throw shooter, rebounder etc)
- Does player Y has weaknesses compared to LeBron? if so, what are they?
These are examples of relating the lesson to the student's work.
