About Ashley
Hi!
I'm Ashley. I am a 23 year old Political Science major. I am originally from Germany, so I underwent English as a Second Language when I was in Elementary School. By the time I was in middle school, I was fluent in the language and started assisting others in their language proficiency as well. I am experienced with teaching, as I tutored people when I was younger and was a student teacher within Academic Decathlon in my high school. My topics of focus at that time were English, Interview prep, and Speech writing and presentation.

I alter my lessons around the needs of the student. If a student has a shortened attention span, I work with them to find the teaching style that is most applicable to them.
Typically, I review the information being taught to the student prior to meeting with them and prepare a small lesson prior to opening up the time for the specifics. This allows for the student to hear the material briefly again and think up exactly what questions and material they want to dive into.
I am flexible with the student, and am always willing to alter my methods for their needs. The goal at the end of the day is their success.
I have worked with elementary, middle and high school students most when tutoring.
