About Maariyah
English has always been my strongest subject since Primary School. I believe English requires not just literacy, but unique creativity and the ability to understand broad concepts.
For writing, I have always believed that it is important for students to think critically, create compelling, well-evidenced arguments and most importantly learn to translate these ideas into words- a skill that is not just important in lessons but in everyday communication especially in today's generation.
I hope to use these fundamental ideas as the basis of each lesson, and not just improve English skills but encourage a thought process that is essential for everyday life.

My lessons are built around the individual learner: I start by identifying specific gaps or goals, then use a mix of guided practice, real-world examples, and interactive exercises to build confidence rather than just cover content. Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes, which I find is the sweet spot for maintaining focus while covering meaningful ground. I welcome students of all ages, from young children needing help with foundational reading and writing skills to older learners looking to build English language confidence, whether for general fluency, exam preparation, or everyday conversation. My goal in every lesson is to make English learning feel approachable and ensure students experience an exciting and meaningful lesson.
