About David
I’m someone who’s taken the long road on purpose. I didn’t stumble into teaching; I built toward it. I started guitar on my own, put in the hours when nobody was watching, and then went back to school to earn my Music Education degree because I believe the craft deserves respect. I’ve worked hard jobs, finished what I started, and learned to show up consistently, those habits didn’t disappear when I stepped into the classroom.
As a teacher, I combine structure with heart. I’ve led and co-taught multiple guitar classes serving over 100 students, directed performances, and designed lessons that meet beginners and advanced players where they are. I value discipline, honesty, and steady growth. When someone works with me, they’re getting a teacher who prepares carefully, expects effort, and genuinely wants to leave people better than he found them.

If you take lessons with me, you’re not just learning chords and scales, you’re learning how to actually play the instrument. I care about tone, touch, and musicality just as much as technique, because sounding good matters. I build structure into every lesson so you progress steadily, but I also keep it human and engaging so you don’t lose the spark that made you pick up the guitar in the first place.
I came to music the long way around, so I understand what it’s like to start from scratch and work for every inch. Whether you’re brand new or leveling up, I’ll meet you where you are, challenge you honestly, and help you become the kind of player who can walk into a room, pick up a guitar, and mean it.
