About Elsy
With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, I bring over 5 years of teaching experience to the table. My roles have included College Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher, and Tutor, where I've honed my skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional delivery. As a College Teacher’s Assistant, I adeptly managed classrooms with 20-25 students per semester, delivering lectures on civil engineering materials such as concrete, steel, and wood. I leveraged computer programs, applications, and audio-visual aids to enhance teaching effectiveness. My teaching style fosters active learning through hands-on activities, technology integration, and interactive discussions. I believe in encouraging curiosity and critical thinking by incorporating open-ended questions and cooperative learning methods. I employ weekly quizzes and monthly tests to gauge student progress, identify areas for improvement, and prepare them for final exams.
