About Gavin
My name is Gavin Fitzpatrick and after a career as a dancer performing all over the world I retrained at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in modern guitar techniques. I enjoy teaching immeasurably because when a student grasps new concepts, or techniques or reaches a standard they previously thought was unachievable it is immensely satisfying.

With over 2 years teaching experience in schools, homes, studios and online, I have established excellent rapport with allmy students. I set achievable but challenging tasks and aim to guide my students to achieve their aims quickly. I teach a wide range of styles - blues, pop, rock, folk/acoustic with or without an emphasis on theory. Each lesson can be tailored to the students specific requirements and aims whether that is to build skills to accompany themselves on guitar as an aspiring singer/songwriter, or to delve into the world of technical rock soloing.
