About Danae
Hello!!
I'm Danaé, a passionate Research Historian and Artist who adores learning about the world we live in, work in, and breathe every day!! I love all things History, from Ancient to Modern times, with my own personal research focusing on the Scottish Highland Clearances and migration history!! I have my own art studio that I potter in on days I am not stuck in the books or teaching classes!
I studied a Bachelor of Arts History and Master of Research at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, exiting my BA with a GPA of 6.4, going on to work as a project officer in the Humanities department and expand my researching capabilities.
I have worked with students of all ages for 5 years, specialising in History, fine Arts, Humanities, English and German.

I teach interactively including whiteboards and/or student work, unpacking a specific topic or task, and work through this with my students. Each lesson runs for 45 minutes and includes follow up information and resources discussed in lesson, to incorporate before next lesson OR benefit the student in their personal studies.
TEACHING STYLES:

- learn about specific times in history, understanding key dates, events, and what History means for us!
- interactive lessons including whiteboards, open discussion, tasks and analysis prompts dependent on age
- homework if you want it! It always benefits us to keep learning, keep exploring, and keep questioning!
- established methods of improving History/Humanities grades at school through practice methods
Adult learners/University:
- comprehension lessons on specific points of Historical interest (eg. World War 2, Renaissance Italy, Australia migration etc)
- discuss and delve into specific methodologies and forms of History, from Ancient to Modern, including Renaissance, Reformation, Art history etc
- analyse sources together and generate interpretations based on FACT not opinion
- understand key terminology and resources needed for Historical research (transferable skills for the future!)
-incorporate research procresses for the Humanities disciplines
