About Bhawna
“Hello everyone, I’m Bhawna, and I’m really happy to have you here. ️
Before we start studying Social Studies, I want you to know a little about me.
I’m someone who has always believed that education should not feel like a burden. Social Studies, especially, is often taught as a subject where students are expected to memorize dates, names, definitions and facts.
But I don't want to teach you that way.
I want you to understand why things happened, how different events are connected, and how you can remember them naturally because you actually understand them.
I’m preparing for competitive examinations myself, so I know what it feels like to sit with a huge syllabus and think, ‘Itna sab kaise yaad hoga?’
And that's one of the reasons I want to share whatever I have learned with you.
For me, teaching isn't just about completing chapters. It is about making knowledge easier, clearer and more meaningful for another person.
I want to share my knowledge because I know that sometimes one simple explanation can save a student hours of confusion.
So in my classes, you can ask questions. You can make mistakes. You can say, ‘Ma'am, mujhe ye samajh nahi aaya.’
There is no embarrassment in not knowing something.
We are here to learn together.
My goal is simple:
I don't want you to study Social Studies just to pass an exam.
I want you to reach a point where you can say — ‘Yes, I understand this, and I can explain it to someone else.’
So, let's start this journey together.”**
One thing I would especially recommend
Don't hide the fact that you are also learning and preparing yourself.
You don't need to present yourself as someone who knows everything. In fact, saying:
“I’m also a learner, and I want to share what I learn in a way that makes your journey easier.”
can make you much more relatable to students.
Your identity can become “teacher + learner + guide”, rather than simply “teacher standing above students.”
And over time, your students should associate you with one feeling:
“Bhawna ma'am makes difficult things easy.” ️

Before my class:
“Can you explain why the British introduced the Permanent Settlement?”

“Now explain it in my own words.”
