About Eric

I am originally form Madagascar, and obtained Canadian citizenship by naturalization in 2013. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Natural Product Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry from Oregon State University, USA as well as a Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar. I am currently a visiting scientist at the University of Waterloo, Department of Biology, in Professor Barbara Moffatt's laboratory.
After obtaining my Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar, I worked as Marketing Manager in the National Centre for Industrial and Technological Research (CNRIT) in Antananarivo while holding the position of Instructor (1995-1998) of Project Management. I taught this graduate-level course, at the Department of Energy, at the University of Antananarivo, as well as at the Department of Chemical Engineering, at École Supérieure Polytechnique, Antananarivo.

About the lesson

Natural product chemistry, which can be taught in parallel with Environmental and Natural Products Biochemistry. Likewise, Organic Structure Analyses by Spectrometry Methods can be taught in parallel with Chemistry courses entitled Introductory Spectroscopy and Structure, as well as Spectroscopy in Organic Chemistry.
