About Gareth
I am an Ontario College of Teachers-certified high school Math and Physics teacher and an experienced tutor with over seven years of experience helping students master quantitative reasoning. I got my B.Ed degree from the University of Ottawa, and previously graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science. Just this past year, I scored a 765 on the GMAT Focus Edition, demonstrating a strong understanding of the structure, logic, and reasoning patterns tested on the exam.

My approach to GMAT tutoring focuses on clarity and intuition, not memorization. I work with students to break down complex problems into simple, repeatable steps, build strong number sense, and recognize the patterns that can be expected to appear come test day.
In addition to GMAT preparation, I have extensive experience tutoring algebra, functions, pre-calculus, calculus, and physics at the high school and first-year university level. Furthermore, as a classroom teacher I am comfortable working with students of all backgrounds and learning styles, and I place a strong emphasis on asking the right questions rather than rushing to formulas. So, whether you are aiming for a top GMAT score or simply want to feel more confident with quantitative reasoning, I am ready to tailor each session to your goals and timeline.
